Over the last 5 years that I have been in the business of Jewish gifts and kosher gift baskets, I have been touched by the many people (both Jewish and not) who are interested in Jewish traditions & customs. The interest is a genuine curiosity about our rituals as well as a desire to “get it right.” On a daily basis, we get calls and emails from people wanting to understand shiva (Jewish mourning period). At holiday time, the interest in specific food rituals (ie. why matzo, why apples and honey, etc.) peaks. It is so rewarding for us to share our knowledge and learn as well!
This blog is about that: sharing our knowledge and experience related to Jewish holidays and milestones while also learning from all of you! We are excited to begin a new cyber-dialogue and in the end, it will all fit into a wonderful kosher gift basket!Â
